Stig Lindberg’s pattern Melody in giant format is the most recently completed project Everstyle produced for Ikano Bostad AB in Gustavsberg, Värmdö. Recreating patterns that were originally intended for textiles or porcelain into giant formats has its challenges!
We have recreated the pattern in three different color schemes; gray, orange and in green. We are fascinated by Stig Lindberg’s great creative power, wealth of ideas and refined sense of color, which really deserves a new arena to be seen in! His designs can be seemingly simple but are ingenious in principle. The design is timeless and at least as relevant today as when it was created. We have the pleasure of being able to reproduce and produce different patterns by Stig Lindberg on tiles, for interior and exterior environments as well as in wet areas. We have also been entrusted with creating our very own, unique color schemes and combinations, but in this case it is the original colors that have been chosen, which will be outstanding in their luminosity and quality of tiles! The project includes decoration in five stairwells, located in four building complexes, one of which is a high-rise building. This is assignment no. 2 for Ikano Bostad: In the first project, we produced the pattern Berså in green and gray color scheme, in the form of large trees in the stairwells. Art tiles with a matte surface give the pattern an extra depth. Otherwise, floor tiles / colors have been chosen adapted to the color scheme of each stairwell. Very tasteful. We are all satisfied with the collaboration and look forward to seeing the results of a third assignment together, also in Gustavsberg, where Stig Lindberg lived and worked.
